Welcome to haslemerebells.com
This site contains information about change ringing in Haslemere, which is in the county of Surrey in the United Kingdom. For a map, showing the location of our tower, click here
To the left of the page, you will find links to plenty of information about change ringing, and about our tower.
We are always pleased to hear from people who would like to learn to ring or from ringers who would like to visit either on a Sunday or on our Monday evening practice, which is from 7.45pm until 9.15pm. Please contact us to arrange your visit. Our tower is also available to other bands for tower outings and peal attempts.
Interruption to ringing: July to September 2009
St Bartholomew's is currently being redecorated and our ringing schedule is disrupted:
- There can be no visiting bands until October
- There will be no Sunday service ringing until Sunday 27 September
- Monday practices might have to be cancelled at short notice
If you plan to attend a Monday night practice, please check the schedule below.
Practices might have to be cancelled at short notice but we will update this website with the latest information.
Redecoration of the ringing room will happen when the decorators are waiting for scaffolding to be moved from one part of the church to another.
It is difficult to predict when this will occur and so we will not be able to give much notice of cancelled practices.
PLEASE NOTE: We might not be able to open the main door to the church. In this case, access will be through the west door, under the tower steps.
